In January 2005, Pine Island Country Club began a major renovation project undertaken by Griffin Brothers. This included reworking of all 18 greens and bunkers, installing four sets of tees on each hole, rerouting holes six through nine, and dramatically improving drainage control and landscaping. Additionally, the 25,000 square foot clubhouse and banquet facility were majorly renovated.

Directed by golf course architect Michael Gleason of Pinehurst, NC, the course is now one of the finest USGA-regulated courses in the region. Dramatic, architecturally sound and extremely innovative, this premier private course provides fun and challenging play for golfers of all skill levels.
